Where we ship
We ship to mainland England, Scotland and Wales.
We're not currently able to ship to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Channel Islands, or anywhere outside the UK. Our checkout won't accept orders for these areas. If one gets through by mistake, we'll get in touch and refund you in full.
Shipping costs
Shipping is free on every order to mainland England, Scotland and Wales — including large items and full shelving systems.
There are no shipping charges, surcharges or handling fees at any stage. The price on the product page is the price you pay at checkout.
How long it takes
A lot of our shelving is made to order, so timings depend on what you buy. Your order confirmation will tell you which applies to you.
Orders will be dispatched within 3 working days, delivered 3-5 working days later.
These are estimates based on our usual production and courier schedules. If we can't meet one, we'll contact you with a new date as soon as we know. Either way, we'll always deliver within 30 days of your order unless we've agreed something longer with you in writing.
How we ship
Our products are shipped using nationwide parcel couriers. Smaller items usually don't require a signature and may be left in a safe place or with a neighbour if you've given the courier permission. For larger items, please bear in mind:
-
Delivery is to your kerbside or the nearest ground-floor accessible point. Our carriers can't take items upstairs, into lofts, or through gardens and side passages.
-
The carrier will contact you to arrange a date and, where possible, a time slot.
Before you order
Please check your item will fit through your doors, hallways and stairwells, and that there's suitable vehicle access at your address. Full packaged dimensions are on every product page.
Not sure? Email customerservice@shelveit.co.uk before you order and we'll help you work it out.
Tracking
We'll email you a tracking link when your order is dispatched. If you haven't had a dispatch email within the timescales above, email customerservice@shelveit.co.uk and we'll chase it.
If we can't complete your delivery
If nobody's available for a delivery that needs a signature, the carrier will leave a card or instructions to rearrange.
If a delivery fails because nobody was there on an agreed date, because access wasn't adequate and we weren't told, or because the address was wrong, we may charge you for the failed delivery and redelivery. We'll always tell you the amount before we redeliver.
If your order comes back to us and you no longer want it, we'll refund the price of the goods less the carriage costs we've paid.
When your order arrives
Please check it over as soon as you can.
If anything's damaged, incorrect or missing, email customerservice@shelveit.co.uk within 48 hours with photos of the item and its packaging if you can. Telling us quickly means we can claim against our carrier — and it doesn't affect your legal rights, which are set out below.
If the outer packaging is obviously badly damaged when it arrives, you can refuse the delivery. Just let us know.
Please hold onto the packaging until any issue is sorted, in case we need to arrange a collection.
If your order is late
If we haven't delivered within 30 days, or within any longer period we agreed with you, you can give us a new reasonable deadline. If we miss that too, you can cancel and we'll refund you in full.
You can cancel straight away and get a full refund without giving us a further deadline if we've refused to deliver, or if delivery by a particular date was essential and you told us so before ordering.
If you cancel part of an order, we'll refund those items and a fair share of the shipping cost.
Who's responsible for your order
Your order is our responsibility until it's in your hands, or in the hands of someone you've asked to receive it. After that, it's yours. The only exception is if you ask us to use a courier you've arranged yourself, in which case responsibility passes when we hand it over.
None of this affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described — including your right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery.
Changing your order
To change your delivery address or date, email customerservice@shelveit.co.uk as soon as you can. We can usually change an address before dispatch, but not once your order is with a courier.
Made-to-order items can only be changed or cancelled before we start making them. We'll confirm that cut-off in your order confirmation.
Cancellations and returns
You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order and return the item for a refund, whether there's anything wrong with it or not. Full details are in our Returns Policy.
That exclusion doesn't apply if your item is faulty, damaged or not as described. In that case you have exactly the same rights as on anything else you buy from us, and we'll repair it, replace it or refund you.
Every product page tells you whether an item is a stock size or made to order.
